Constellation Finder Not Working!

So, I'm rather new to the Altador Plot and I am only working on finding my first constellation, but when a CTRL + V my data nothing I happens. I followed all the instructions (CTRL + A, CTRL + C, CTRL + V, and 'find stars') and still nothing.

 

Any help?

You want to check that Javascript is enable in your browser, and try again.

If that doesn't work, redo the few last steps and try again.

 

Usually, it solves the problem :)

I guess I'll just have to find my stars on my own.

I forgot to say, you had to clear your cache before redoing the steps...

 

 

You can also try in another browser. Sometimes it works.

It is. I'm not sure where the idea that it was taken down came from, but as far as I know it's definitely still working. :yes:

I tried what you suggested and still can't get it to work. I don't think it is copying the information the star finder needs.

When I CTRL + V, that is all I get. Is that the right information that the star finder needs because when I copy it that is all I get?

Ah, there's your problem. You want to copy and paste the source code of the page, not the page itself.

 

Depending on what web browser you're using, you should be able to Right-click on the page, and somewhere in the menu should be something about "Source" or "Show Source Code" or something like that. If you're still having problems finding that, let me know what web browser you're using, and I'll walk you through it, I have most major ones installed. :)

I found the source, but when I hit 'find stars' nothing happens.

And it is really slow. Like, I kinda think the page doesn't even redirect.

Actually, you don't need to copy the page source at all. Note that the finder explicitly asks you to select all and copy from your star data page, and even provides a link - that's this one: http://www.neopets.com/altador/astro.phtml?get_star_data=1

 

Perhaps it should be in giant bright red bold letters? :P

No worries - to be frank, on the star data page, the page source and contents are the same anyway. :P
