sylfi Posted November 28, 2009 Share Posted November 28, 2009 Yeah, I just started playing Neopets again, after about a year or two, and THIS is what I get? A half-*ssed plot? I've done NUMEROUS plots (Battle For Meridell, Curse Of Maraqua, Altador, Qasala/Lost Desert, Cyodrake's Gaze, Lost Isle and Hannah and the Ice Caves (Well, kinda XD), Mystery Island, AND Tale of Woe), and this was not a plot. Or even a mini plot. This was a series of games. Tale Of Woe and Qasala were REAL plots. The best I ever played. :D This plot was poorly written and the games were very hard. stiricide Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 I think my problem with the plot is really how they're distributing the prizes - is there an actual method to the madness? I know that I didn't complete the entire thing, but I did a sizable chunk of it (10/16 quests - i only missed 2 games, but by the time i realized that you could win multiple prizes on the smokestack, it had already closed.) 10/16 apparently equates to the lowest trophy and 2 item prizes. Chanizilla Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 I was sad that the plot didn't seem very well thought out, and there were some glitches in the plot that made it somewhat upsetting to play. Also that it took so long to get the prizes from the lava smoke stack each day was kinda harsh seeings how I get about 2 hours a day to play at the very most if at all (since I DO have a family to take care of) but that's just what I will be dealing with no matter what. Regardless... they should have had us battledoming (giving out a different set of trophies for a war/battle part of the plot) which I thought I read somewhere there would be a war coming up... Yes, the prizes seem very flawed I missed only 1 single item, but technically did NOT miss a single step in the plot, and acheived pretty much every goal. The second day of the lava smoke stack I played 25 times and got NO muffin... seems somewhat unfair that I randomly didn't get a muffin and then get the silver trophy. I just don't like playing flash games to win the uber prize -- I like using my brain to figure out what to do next. It feels like more of an achievement. I mean, when it was "the end", I wasn't totally convinced. I thought there was going to be something more to it rather than a few games and stuff. Shadaw the Rampage Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 sense i just found out i can actually say "sucks" on these boards, i have to say this plot really did kind of suck. when the games wernt lagging they instantly killed you. i had to buy the charred wings {and three extras for my pets}. I am as angry as the techo but this makes me even madder, and to find out that THEY made it impossible to get some of the items and still blamed the players for it that royally makes me angry in ways that techo could never yell.
