@Scoobert_Doo thanks for your input! honestly this 'wait until the 2nd' idea is really honorable, I don't feel like the majority of players is willing in participating though So, just as a heads up: I've followed through this morning with my idea and these are the results. Right after midnight NST, my 203 avas did get me on the high score table, however, the ava is not given out right away. I don't know when it happens, but as of now, I'm obviously no longer on the list - the lowest score in the top50 is already 300+ - and thus I'm pretty sure my brief appearance there will get me nothing. Oh well, it's always good to test an assumption, right :)

thanks for your reply mouseykins :) you are absolutely right, 200 avas is not that many, that's why I'm trying to cheat my way into this one haha well I guess I'll just give it a go tomorrow (midnight NST is 9 am where I live) and then I'll post an update here.

Hey everyone, I am currently on an avatar collecting spree - reached 200 yesterday :) - and I was wondering about the exact conditions for the 'avatar collector' one. I feel like the idea I came up with might not work, since such a small percentage of players has the ava (not even 1%), but I thought I could just ask here to make sure. So, since it's the 31st today, highscores will reset at the upcoming midnight NST, right? Would it not work to get the ava if I reset my count by changing shop keeper to goth usul right after midnight, so I can snag a spot somewhere in the top 50 before all the bigger fish come in? If I'm just in the top 50 for avatar collectors for 10 seconds, isn't that enough to get the ava? Hope I'm making sense here. I hardly have any trophies / highscores as of now so I don't really now yet what's going on with that haha. Thanks for reading!

@laurageezy in case you haven't tried that yet, maybe give following the jellyneo game guide step by step a shot! If I recall right, 850 points is needed for the ava right? once you unlock the third dificulty - meaning you're bashing the kass with a bat - and only hit it at wind 8 oder 9, it WILL happen sooner or later. good luck :) for me, I haven't been collecting avas for too long and would consider myself more lucky than not when it comes to RE's, but no amount of refreshing has gotten me the neomail ava so far. I mean, you just have to refresh your inbox, right? I'd guess I've done that a several hundred of times but still, nada. bleh :|

can I say I love how everyone's reply is so different :) really shows how pretty much every pet and variation has a fan. for me, my two favorite colors in general are magma and wraith. I've always liked neopets that looked more like, well, animals, or some sort of supernatural creatures. these styles (along with many others ofc) convey that feeling for me perfectly. so yeah, 2 of my 5 permanents are magma and 2 of them, a lupe and a gelert, are going to be wraith :) just need to save up for their multi-million NP brushes haha but it's a goal to work towards so it's all good!

I haven't used the function to sort by rarity before either, but I've gotta admit that would be super helpful for the 'my checklist' section. Looking forward to that feature making a return!

It took me almost ten years being on neopets, but finally, here I am - registered at the TDN forums! My name is Kate, I'm in my 20's, living in Germany and I'm a university student. Last year during winter, while in the gruesome process of writing my B.A. thesis, I came back to the safe haven that is neo for some rest. What can I say, I got hooked again! Honestly I didn't think I'd ever play neo as actively again as I do now but I'm having lots of nostalgic fun. I also thought that this would be a good time to get more involved in the social aspects of the game, so my current goals are getting to know some active players and maybe start NC trading soon for my dream customs.
