I feel that. If I care too much about a game, it becomes just another responsebility. I'd love to give today's DD challenge a try right now ... but the site is still down :) yay. EDIT: guys it's back up I think! at least for now. 9/15 AAA scores done :)

I finally realized this today! sometimes I get way too worked up over things like these and obessively try to figure them out even if there is no real need to... what really helped - and got me the ava today, yay! - was a page by TDN dedicated to it. I didn't even know this one existed! https://thedailyneopets.com/articles/top-gamer-games you can just copy + paste your high score page source code here and it gives you a list of links to games you don't have a score in yet. the weird thing about this, though: for me, it listed all kinds of games I ABSOLUTELY had submitted scores in. like, kass basher and even this year's DD games I just played a couple of days ago. but after playing them from the link provided by TDN instead of regular games room links, my high score count did increase. so they WERE missing. I don't even know anymore with neo and it's bugs lol. @Scoobert_Doo thank you for the hint, that might be it - I certainly have not played the slots 250 times. but honestly, now that I have the ava, I don't think I will never liked those anyways, not my defintion of fun to just pull that lever over and over again...

glad you guys eventually made it :) I'm really lucky so far with this year's choice of games. I am not checking out that list someone posted the other day on purpose, I'm dreading to run into one that I absolutely suck at. I don't care that much for my trophy color but I REALLY want to get that ava, so I need at least 15 AAA scores. 8 done, 7 more to go... also, @Angeló, take care of that hand please! don't let neo do this to you

to get the best score in the shortest time I've made it a habit to just give the game's guide page a quick read so I know about any tricks or cheat codes right away. that really helps and saves a lot of time :) with all that information, it really is so much easier to get a decent score. good luck! today's game takes only a couple of minutes if you stay focused! and make sure to use the extra-life-cheat (also learned about that today thanks to the game guide) :)

hey everyone, I found several older threads about this issue, but none of them with an actually working solution. I've tried to get a score on neo's slot games (brucey b slots and black pawkeet slots, not sure if there are more) for the sake of the game collector ava. so, I played them for a couple of minutes each and I won a bunch of NP too, but my personal score for them remains "N/A", even after several attemps, even after refreshing the site right away, even after checking when some days had passed. whatever I do, my score in those games remains non-existent, as for a game you've never played before. So how is this solvable? Is there a certain amount of points / won NP you have to reach? Or is there some sort of "send score" button in-game after all? Thanks for reading! I really hope to figure this out!

take it easy, flash games like those on neo tend to get easier again once you take a break and clear your head, in my experience :) you already reached 286, you can make this happen! I have no recollection of this but apparently, years ago I got a 400+ high score in sophie's stew lol. I gotta say, once I plugged in an actual mouse (best decision for DD in my opinion) and a couple of tries later, I got the AAA score. just remember to feed some of the food to the meowclops here and there (codestones bc their so hard to bounce, also fish + mice since they give the same amount of points as if placed in the cauldron) to clear up the space so you won't have to juggle that much! and @Angeló, I hope you're joking about the picture?!

nope no team partner - but I was kinda impatient and didn't know what my plans for the day would be so I sent the first AAA-beating score right away :/ that means we can't team up anymore anyways right?

wow, learned another thing today! enjoy them :) by the way, midnight NST is 9 AM where I live, so I usually do my dailies and now the DD challenge right away in the morning. so, wingo ball it is. I can't really recall playing it before but my current high score is 680, should be doable to beat AAA's 750 then. or so I hope! good luck to everyone again today :) EDIT: managed to get it on my first try! woot!

@Angeló those look SO good! what are those 'hairy' ones further down made of / taste like? I'm having a really good streak with DD these days - managed to get the AAA score again, my previous highscore in bumble beams was about 300. I feel like being not too hectic and button-smashing-y helps. for example, the levels that have the wooden platform, those you can simply hold in position with your arrow keys until there's a bin right underneath. always reading the game guides from TDN or JN before helps alot! DD avatar, here I come!

I read about this whole ordeal. Honestly, it's kind of sad how some players don't want others to have nice items too just for their own prestige. thought we were over status symbols in 2019 especially when it comes to a bunch of pixels...

@Scoobert_Doo yeah, well... unfortunately, almost none of the items so far could get me exited They just don't really fit my aesthetic on neo. Bit too kitschy for my taste. But - nevertheless, I'm just happy to see TNT putting effort into decent artwork and animations, so there's that. Since it's my first DD I wouldn't know, but are these prize items usually selling well afterwards? Maybe not right away, but in a couple of months?

got AAA's score today again, whoo! Also got the ava right away as well :) For me, it was really helpful to just keep restarting the game, typing in 'catapult', hope for it to be the fire hoop power-up and if not restart again until it came up, then just trying my luck to hit a balloon or two. I think I sealed the deal on the 100+ ava score by hitting a balloon + the board + through the fire hoop - boom, 70 or so points. You can do this! :)

@Scoobert_Doo that some good news, guess I'll try for it then. 15 AAA scores seems a bit much though :/ wish they would have made it 10 or 12. I'm not THAT good at most neo games

yay for sutek's tomb being in daily dare! was able to beat AAA, so two days in a row :) is it possible / confirmed that the avatar for beating AAA 15 times during daily dare is going to be available this year again like it was last year? that would actually be a motivation to step up my efforts

it not having a time limit is the BEST! I got the AAA score on my very first try playing :) ... nice little ego push after that coconut-carrying-tony-hawk-wannabee-this-is-not-even-slightly-fun-disappointment...

@Nielo that's definitely a good idea. I did that, however I only scored about 200 points after several tries, and I was just not in for that investment of time and nerves to try and get the higher score If I would have known about that trick hint before, I might have given it a try, but it's all good. I'm really just participating for the fun of it :)

this is helpful, thanks. I was wondering how to get those to work. While I do have a computer that's running Win 10, I'm mostly on my chromebook these days (running chrome OS, based off of linux), so I'll give the chrome add-on method a try first. Did not even know something like this existed :) Is there any special reason why one would want to play these shockwave games by the way? They do count towards that game collector avatar right, but can you still reach the required 250 high-scores without having played these shockwave games?

@Angeló props for the patience! I haven't played the game before so I kinda thought '800 should be doable if the current high-score is over 8000' ... yeah right your tip about just doing tricks against a wall and making use of all 30 seconds of every life sounds actually really helpful, but I already went with abi. oh well.

I guess that could mean that there's currently more and even older stories waiting to be published than there is space for in the neopian times. Thus, they might publish the good stuff chronologically and it's not your turn yet? Just speculation but would make sense to me

oh well, trying is alwayst the first step to success, right :) I've thought about submitting something for a while - *cough* shiny avatar *cough* - but haven't done yet. You just keep going! Maybe try some other piece too. What kind of submission was it? Title sounds interesting!

@Duma well THAT'S an amount! out of curiosity, how long did it take you to get that many, if you can recall when you started to seriously collect them? my goal for now is 250, but I'll see how I feel about that once I reach that number
