American Midwest, having lived on the east cost and the south, Halloween will vary a lot on where you live, even from town to town.   Some places it;s a big deal and everyone goes trick-or-treating, while others it's barely noticed.    Some places are big of kid safety, so nobody goes house-to-house, while others lets kids roam alone well after dark.   And depending on what trends are popular, can change a lot form year to year.
I personally favor the scary costumes, but for most people it's an excuse to dress up, so they dress up as whatever they happen to want, which might not be scary.    others just want an excuse to party, don't care about the costume, so they use whatever they happen to find easy.
I also have a lot of friends who are big into anime and cosplay, so they'll typically dress up as an anime or video game character.
Also have a couple of Wiccan friends who treat it as a religious holiday.
like most things, Halloween has different meaning to different people who observe it in different ways.    This year I'll be out of town at a hotel for an anime convention that starts the next day.   Are vague plans to meet up with a couple friends at the hotel bar, and I think a couple people are planning to bring board games along.   I might dress up in something simple, plastic fangs and red contacts, or might go without, depending on how i feel the day of.

Oh i'm not expected much, but as expensive as books can run, I'll wait until there's a chance, even if it's a really slim one.

I can now confirm it's possible to miss every single throw.   I aimed slightly left of the 'P' in 'Play again' and every throw went straight between the two coconuts.    I guess it's -possible- that today was the day I rolled poorly and all 20 missed, but I very much doubt it.   So I'm sticking with the theory that aiming -is- important.

Really it's all a matter of personal taste.   Get something YOU like and are happy with.

If you happen to already be happy with what you have, consider pulling a pet out of the adoption center, giving it a fresh look, and then putting it back for a chance to find a forever home.   I'm told for such matters that Royal and Baby tend to be popular.

Eh, enough people who go to the dump, couldn't be sure the right person gets the right gravy, or dung, or whatever.   HOWEVER.... it tells you who put what...   Say 'Someone Smelly' is your contact.    Gravy at half past the hour?  'Situation stable, continue as planned.'    But Strange Green Seeds on the hour?  'Problem.   Contact base immediately.'

I started majoring in physics, but didn't care for some of the viewpoints when I got to the higher levels.   Mostly the attitude of:
'These formula are FACT.   They are how the universe Really Works.'
'But they don't match up with real world data.'
'Then the real world is WRONG.'

That's not science, that's religion.

I switched majors to philosophy, where things tended to be 'I don't know what's right.   Here's a list of things I thought were right, and how I proved they were wrong.   Here's a couple things that might be right, arguments for why they might not be, and a couple counter arguments.'

Then I ended up taking too many classes I wanted, rather than classes I needed to graduate, and ended up dropping out with no degree.

'Save'?   That's crazy talk.   Time to go out and buy up a bunch of over priced stuff!   ....how long does this usually last, anyway?    I'm tired of clicking.   200 shiney obsidians is a -lot- to go through, for not all that many points.

And today (day 329) is #10, a Vicious Evil Coconut.   Figure I should at least try to maintain a record, so previous was a Hairy Evil Coconut.   I don't recall before that.   So roughly every 33 days have knocked one down, on average.   Still trying to make one explode.

Day 417, 12th coconut, Mini Evil Coconut.   Seems to be roughly every 30 days of solid play, for me.

That was also my guess.   And while I didn't get a negg prompt, I -DID- find the guard asleep!    So I'm going to count that as a major 'win' anyway.
