Hello! My name is Tiara. I am a thirty-ish year old stay at home mommy to two crazy daughters. I have medical problems that have made my life miserable so I started playing Neopets again when I am able to do so. I have been on Neopets off and on for over 17 years (Now I really feel old ?).
I have been a lurker to the forums for quite a long time and finally decided to join. I am quite shy and do not talk to many people online so I am hoping this might be helpful to me.

I'm so bummed. I love the Daily Dare, it's one of my favorite events. It was just the worst timing with RL, so I missed out on some great prizes. I only got a participation trophy this year and a slushie LOL.

Lol!! I am totally with you! I have finals right now and barely have time for sleep even!! But the daily dare is my favorite!!

Wraith Resurgence, Daily Faerie Quests and now Daily Dare all running at the same time? Does anyone else think that this is a bit much? Slow down JS. We get that you are excited about the transition and having the opportunity to bring back the fun stuff, but I think you need to slow down. I've got three little guys. Managing all of these things on a daily basis is no small task.

I got the avatar a few days ago, and every time i donate it stays at the top of the page and hasn't gone away. I don't know if that's happening for anyone else, but it's been that way for me since I got it.

I gave up on this event a while back! I'm really looking forward to the purple haze going away! Good luck to you all on this event!

I feel ya. I love the feeling of having a full SDB. Before CC I had 10000+ items on my SDB. Now I have 9121, and I can't stand it

At least on here you're not at risk of ending up on a TV show, with people throwing all your stuff into a skip/dumpster!

Can I just say, at this point, that I'm (wo)manfully resisting posting some Frozen gif.
Seriously though, I bet you've got enough to give away some,  even a LOT, and not even make much of a dent in your SDB. So win/win either way, really.

I love the Games Master Challenge! I look forward to this event every year! I chose team Living. I didn't really have a reason, I just picked it. I feel like I always pick the losing team though lol!!

Wing It doesn't work on firefox for me, I just get a black screen, it worked on chrome but I totally failed at it, lol.
I'm hoping the "special quests" Fyora mentioned actually happen, it's just a (non-working) hub to the already existing quests right now, isn't it..
I could feed my main pet from the Soup Faerie as he was only very full rather than bloated, lol. I didn't think you could feed pets while they're in the Lodge, but maybe this event is over-riding that?

I made it to Rank 16 which is 10 ranks higher than I've ever done before! I reallllllyyyy wanted all-star but I had so much going on!

Aww, I love Schoolhouse Rock's "Number 8" with the little girl who skated. Turns out (my mom actually has a book about every Schoolhouse Rock video) that the little girl was Bob Dorough's (sp.?) daughter, who grew up to be the second chair violinist or cello player (I don't remember, it was a long time ago when I listened from the backseat of the NPR interview they did with Bob (a co-creator of Schoolhouse Rock) of the Houston Symphony, which he visits every year. This is one of my favorite math videos and a tribute to your Rank 8, Riley! Congratulations! 
 I got All Star, probably bc I don't have a job. Congratulations to everyone, bc the AC changed up the rules a little & took away the Jelly Days that helped many of us rank up, so kudos to us, we are the Champions of ...not the World, but of AC XII!

I love all of the songs on there! I love 90s music! I've been binge watching Pretty Little Liars from the beginning and to the new episodes, one of my favorite shows ever!

this is my Music of Choice for ACXII ... no shame lol .. 90s and early 2000's music keeps me entertained for hours .... i also sometimes play Seinfeld / Family Guy / Friends in the background

Go Faerieland! First time joining this team. Going to attempt All-star again this year.

According to the rank levels from last year you'd need 42 Slushie Slinger games to rank up to level 1 or 21 Yooyu ball wins to rank up.  You'd need to pretty much rank up one rank per day to get to All-Star in time.  
Slushie Slinger takes about 5 minutes per game.  It looks like it would take about 3.5 hours of playing to rank up per day on Slushie Slinger (5 minutes) while it would take just over 1.5 hours of play (figuring 4 minutes per play start to finish) to do the same with Yooyu ball.  
Another thing to take into account is that its 21 Yooyu ball games difference between Participant and Rank 1 while its 63 Yooyu ball games difference between Rank 19 and 20 so that would take 5.5 hours to rank up that day on Yooyu ball (or 10.5 hours on Slushie Slinger).
All that being said, don't let this discourage you, just have an idea of what you'd need to do starting on Day 1 to get there.  I made it to Rank 4 just playing Slushie Slinger before and I've never been super dedicated about the AC.
 
My trick:  Start Slushie Slinger in one tab and Shootout in another.  Hit start on Slushie and then tab over and play 3 games of Shootout.  Tab back and clear all the tables back to front.  While waiting to collect the last of the cups on the bottom row, tab over and play 2 more games of Shootout.  Then alternate between clearing Slushie top to bottom and 1 game of Shootout.  I usually get 6-9 games of Shootout in during one game of Slushie which is great because that means each game of Slushie + Shootout essentially counts as a Yooyu ball game (thus cutting your numbers needed in half).  I know I'm not the only one who does this but there might be some newbies here.  Also, on Slushie don't worry about the color, it's quicker to just fill from the end of the row.   EDIT:  DON'T DO THIS, IT'S APPARENTLY CHEATING!

I've always been just as obsessed with The Sims franchise, as much as I am with Neopets, so I'm always playing both! I have every game pack for The Sims 4, so I play those. I also have a nintendo 3DS and I've been playing animal crossing which is also an old time favorite.. But really I love all games, I'm always playing something lol 

Welll...having said that, my next milestone birthday's 50, and that can go play in the traffic as far as I'm concerned! xD
