Can Neopets stop with this? This isn't the first time i've had my expensive items, particularly EVERLASTING APPLES, taken for no good reason. That's why i don't carry anything anymore. I had just taken my Everlasting Apple out of storage so i could feed my pets and THEY TOOK IT AGAIN!!! WHILE I WAS JUST IN THE MIDDLE OF FEEDING MY PETS!!! UGH.

My side account is the better part of ten years old and yet has never had a gallery before. With this years prizes and a short if expensive shopping spree... that has now changed!

I suppose it's to even out the RE's where you get given stuff... but you'd need a lot of positive RE's to make up for the suckiness of this one...
If you buffer items with a lot of junk you can reduce the chances of a specific item being taken and I've also learned that the Pant Devil Attractor increases the chances of the PD taking the attractor rather than anything else. Just useful to keep in mind for the future.

The Merry Go Round was my friend!! But yes, it took at least 10 goes just to get them to content!
I have also discovered that the reason their mood was going down was because I was pinging them about in trades to model different items for Jellyneo. So they now just need to stay where they are to prevent this aggravation again.

I still haven't claimed any of the prizes but went to do some price research on the yooyu, stamp and books and I figured that with more people supposedly playing (because quarantine) the prices wouldnt escalate so fast but I was SO wrong lol
Probably gonna get two stamps and a book with my 10k-ish points
 
Also: the prizes for the staff tournament are really cheap aren't they? I wish we could transfer those to the main prize shop lol

a part of me keeps thinking that's the point. like, if people knew exactly how scoring works, they'd have better knowledge of how to tweak it. Although i can hear an argument for why NO ONE knowing how exactly it works is unfair.

My team has been a lost cause for a good long while now, but I want more prize shop points. 😂

This is how I see it too, if you could still gain points for personal rank on break days then you're right, so many people wouldn't actually take a break. I think it's definitely better this way. 🙂

As far as teams giving other teams trouble, i found Mystery Island to be the most bothersome team for me this year, so far, although Maraqua's goalie sure gave me heck yesterday. I considered joining Maraqua when i first started doing the Altador Cup cuz i'm a water sign, but like i've said elsewhere...Aishas are my favorite species and Prytariel is my girl. ❤️ 

I hadn't seen the burlap colour before. I can't decide if I think it's hideous or unique enough to count as strangely cute!! I've been wondering if they'll try and theme it this year. I suppose all we can do is wait and see!
I'm certainly not going to have enough points to get stuff to keep and sell, so I think I'll be going with the keep option!!
The stamps and the books are almost always the items worth the most in the long term - particularly once the rush of sellers have disappeared and you have those few left who waited!!

Ideally, i would love for them to go for broke and put up like a Steampunk paint brush cuz i want that for my Lenny (i'd like my Quiggle to be burlap, but that's a lab ray only thing, i believe). If its not, and i can afford it, i'll still get the paint brush just to say i did it. Since Meridell is on track to win, maybe they'll do the Royal brush? Sometimes there's a theme, but that Tyrannian paint brush has popped up a couple times even in non-Tyrannia-winning years. I think the water paint brush was up once and that would be cool to see again.
From there i just go down the list, picking out what looks cool to me, and then spending the rest on the team-specific gear toward the bottom; one of each, then the rest on the Terror Mountain item.

one can hope. i've put in a lot of work to get pipped at the post by a too-high prize value lol
