The ghost of Coltzan appears to tell you the secret of receiving a million Neopoints from his shrine. Unforunately, he seems to have Kikoughela today.

A Schnelly scampers past you. You attempt to catch it, but it manages to evade you. Aww, shucks.
  4. If you ask me about hobbies and interests, here some of mine: Virtual pet sites - I used to be much more involved with them back in the early 2010s. Nowadays, I'm primarily active on Neopets though I may pop by Icepets and Eggcave on the off chance. Video and arcade games - Mainly vintage gaming these days rather than modern gaming. I used to actively collect games and accessories, but it has become much more expensive nowadays. Amiibo collecting - I was heavy on Amiibo collecting from 2014 to 2017, but currently on hiatus since I ran out of shelf space to display more Amiibo and various figures clawing up in price. Watching anime - I sadly haven't had much time to pencil in some anime since I got addicted to Neopets again. I will do so again real soon and I'll look into checking out manga and light novels some of my fave anime are based on down along the line. Cartoons and animation - Mainly older cartoons from the 2000s, 1990s, 1980s and back. There are handful of 2010s ones I do enjoy, but never around to checking out any of the super recent stuff. Same deal with anime with not finding proper time to binge on some cartoon shows. Listening to video game music - I don't necessarily listen to much proper music (no offense though). I generally listen to various video game soundtracks, but mainly from older games from the 90s and back rather than much newer ones. I'll update this post if I think of more hobbies, interests and pastimes I enjoy doing.
  5. Another pet all painted (thanks to an FFQ I got earlier today from an RE), customized, and ready to go! Meet Belzed!

She is named after the main antagonist of the NES game KickMaster, one of the more fun Castlevania clones you likely never played.

  6. This one happened during Dice-A-Roo, which I was having abysmal luck with today, but I thank the Bank Skeith for giving back the money I lost to King Roo today: Flootenkerp found two large sums of Neopoints while I was playing Scorchy Slots today: When I was spinning the reels for the Scorchy Slots Jackpot or more Map Pieces, this happened: This quest above was fulfilled. Paid 8,222 NP for the Sunutek to give Naia, and I now have a Rainbow Fountain use courtesy of her. EDIT: Just used it on Belzed, a Kyrii on one of my sides and turned her Wraith. 30K NP and an FFQ from REs after crud luck from Dice-A-Roo, I'll humbly take it!

A Ghostkerchief appears out of nowhere and approaches Flootenkerp! RUN AWAY! Wait... no. It just wants to be friends. Looks like a new Petpet is going home with you.
  8. Banned for having a mighty sleek user shop layout.
  9. ^ Congrats on the S.M.E.L.T. trophy Angeló! As for me, here's the newest additions to my trophy rack: Speedrunning is not my forte, but you literally have to speedrun if you want a trophy in Shenkuu Tangram.
  10. You carefully walk in and pick up a negg from the pile of treasure, and then scamper!! Purple Negg I know I've been beating the living daylights out of him in the Battledome for Frozen Neggs, though it's been a while since I snagged a Purple Negg (or even a regular Negg) from the Snowager while he's asleep.
  11. Score reset day is a very dangerous day. Ah heck, I got Silver in Neverending Boss Battle and Shenkuu Tangram today, so that's something.
  12. Revenge of the Second-Hand Shoppe finds also because why not? Sadly nothing crazy like in the past, but I'll take it. Oh, and these two from yesterday too.
  13. Happy August to everyone here too! Looking forward to Mutant Day here among all else. Here's the free foods my pets chose for this month. Only thing that was an odd choice was that Lime Milkshake by my Lab Rat, but some pretty decent choices otherwise.
  14. Revenge of the Money Tree finds because why not? Apart from the Bag of Broken Neopoints (got 1,198 NP from that), nothing crazy unlike what I've snagged in the past. Also adding my August 1st finds here too: I oddly come to the Money Tree these day for extra Omelettes as well as extra Petpets to use as Petpet Lab Rats when my current one either gets zapped into oblivion or gets devoured by Turmy.

    Paint brushes

As in proper Paint Brushes? As far as I know, Paint Brushes and Petpet Paint Brushes do not restock in standard Neopian shops due to them being in the Special category and being rarity 101 or greater (only items with a rarity of 100 or lower are known to restock at standard Neopian shops). Outside of user shops and the Hidden Tower, Paint Brushes are usually obtainable via: Random Events (look out for the elusive Jacko the Phantom Painter RE, and there's an rare RE in the Terror Mountain area that'll earn you a Christmas Paint Brush) The Fruit Machine (you must get 3 Ptolymelons or 3 Puntec Fruits in a row to score a Paint Brush from there) Ye Olde Fishing Vortex (there's a very low chance of getting a Paint Brush from there, but it does happen if you're insanely lucky) Wheel of Monotony (if you land on the Paint Brush spot or the Petpet Paint Brush spot, you can get the Tyrannian variant of those respective brushes) Wheel of Extravagance (landing on the Paint Brush spot will surefire score you a Paint Brush, be warned though, this wheel is very expensive to spin for days in a row) Anchor Management and the Forgotten Shore (if you're really lucky, you can score Pirate Paint Brushes and Pirate Petpet Paint Brushes there, but the chance is low) Test Your Strength (if you get a score of 70 or higher, there's a chance of scoring a Halloween Paint Brush there) Lost Desert Scratchcards (there's a low chance of scoring a Lost Desert Paint Brush if luck is in your favour) The Alien Aisha Vending Machine (costs Nerkmids, you can net a Paint Brush you're really lucky, otherwise you'll get Gross Foods in the process) Participating in plots and site events (Paint Brushes and similar items are usually much higher tier prizes in the Prize Shops for such plots/site events) Competing in competitions (I.E.: The Caption Contest, Storytelling, Poetry Contest et al but it's not guaranteed) The Neopets Referral Program (not at all easy these days, but just don't go too crazy pestering/harassing others to join, virtual pets may not be their cup of tea) Paint Brushes were also obtainable if you got a Gold Key in Key Quest, but Key Quest has been unavailable since September 2014 though TNT announced that Key Quest will make a comeback as a mobile app in the future (this was announced back in July 2018). If there are any other methods of obtaining Paint Brushes I forgot, let me know and I'll edit this post.
  16. Thanks Hrtbrk and IHeartSaku for the congrats on my new niece. Also wishing your nephew a good lot of joy and good health as well IHeartSaku! I aim to get her to join Neopets (and possibly other virtual sites too) when she's old enough to have an account as well as get her into anime/manga and retro gaming, but won't be for a while sadly.
  17. First off, thanks for the congrats and wishes _ivory_uri_ and Angeló. Knowing my older brother and his wife, my newborn niece should be able to make it through these messed-up times. Also _ivory_uri_, D-Pad Doc (also listed as DPadDoc) is my newer alias since my hiatus from TDN and the rest of the Neopets community. I was more active in the Pokémon community for the latter half of the 2010s, particularly the Twitch Pokémon community where I was often found chilling in peoples' Wonder Trade streams sending out power and goodies to streamers, participants et al.
  18. I don't usually post about my real life much, but I just wanted to share this quick little bit of news with you guys/gals here at TDN. As of yesterday afternoon EST/EDT, I have officially became an uncle. My older brother's wife just had her baby. A baby girl. 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and 21.25 inches long. The baby's name is Lydia Joy by the way. At this point forward, you can optionally refer to me as Uncle Neomysterion, Uncle Carlo, Uncle Plushie, or Uncle D-Pad Doc et al if that's what you so desire. EDIT: For those interested, here's an image of my newborn niece. Spoilered due to cuteness and image size.
  19. I'm in the same position as Discobiscuit since I haven't got a Trudy's Surprise reset on me either today. By any chance, did you accidentally skip a Neopian day? Most of my Trudy's Surprise resets that aren't related to Daylight Savings Time are from occasional forgetfulness in the past.
  20. That tank is called the Dirty Fish Tank, and goes for around 38K NP. If you ask me, it'd be a nice match for some Mutant aquatic-based Neopets (the Koi, the Kiko, and the Flotsam are a few examples of this).
  21. If you ask me, TNT may have goofed up and failed to realize that there was a pre-existing item also named Yooyuball Cake Pops. It's not the first time it happened. Outside of the various map pieces, there are several other items I'm aware of that share or have shared the same name with each other. There may be other similarly named if not identically named items to each other I may have missed that aren't listed in this post. There are two items called Christmas Baby Blu. The original greener version goes for around 2 million NP at the Trading Post due to it being no longer being obtainable by using a Christmas Petpet PB on a Baby Blu (as of December 2006, you'll get the newer candy cane-looking one instead). Two items called Snowglobe Staff. One of which is a Battledome weapon and the other is an NC wearable. Two items called Candy Cane Sword. Similar deal as the Snowglobe Staff, one is also a Battledome weapon and the other is indeed an NC wearable. There were two items called Tea Infuser, but the one that was a Gross Food has since then been changed into Steeped Tea some time in the later 2010s in order to prevent confusion with the non-Gross Food Tea Infuser. There were also two items called Cloud Kiko Plushie. The one that was released in July 2015 has since then been beaten up and renamed into Tattered Cloud Kiko Plushie just to prevent confusion with the pre-existing one from 2003.
